HTML5 going forward for web designers for mobile viewing of websites.

Have you ever visited a website on your mobile phone or device, like the iPhone or iPad, and noticed that there were areas of the site that were completely missing?  No, you’re not “seeing things”.  In all likelihood, those missing areas were coded using Flash.   Apple does not allow Flash to run on iOS, the operating system which runs on the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and 2nd-generation Apple TV.  Apple has stated that it had no plans to do so (see below).  This is a problem for website designers that would like their clients’ Flash websites to appear anywhere on the web regardless of the device and OS  – desktop to mobile to TV.

This is a bad development for many Flash websites because increasingly the mobile web is the means that the public and the corporate world is finding information and locating businesses.
